A recently built townhouse that was move-in ready left a living room space as a completely blank slate: with a gas fireplace and two empty niches at either side of it. We created these beautiful charcoal-colored painted built-in bookcases that look just as if they should have always been there. The addition of reeded glass in the upper panel doors lends a dynamic element to the design, but still ensures that the pieces in storage are not directly on display.
