We became known for our bowls—and as much as we love making them, each one is deeply labor-intensive. Going forward, bowls will no longer be available for purchase on our website.
Instead, we’ll build up inventory throughout the year and release them to our waitlist during the holidays. Quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

FALLEN TREE TO
FUNCTIONAL OBJECT

Each of our bowls begins with salvaged wood—often from a tree that’s lived for generations. What follows is a multi-phase journey of shaping, drying, and refining that unfolds over the course of a year. And no two bowls are ever the same.

LET’S TALK

Each bowl begins long before the first cut—with salvaged wood from trees that have stood for generations. Over the course of a year, the wood is shaped, rested, turned, and finished in phases that honor its natural rhythm. No two bowls are alike—each one carries its own story.

COLLECT
FALLEN
TREES

All of our wood is locally sourced

We collect wood from trees downed by storms, from farms, or even from private residences where the homeowner has cut down a tree. This means that all of our bowls & vases are 100% sourced locally.

ROUGH
SHAPE

Remove excess materials

The first pass at form. We remove excess material and carve the initial shape setting the foundation and preparing the piece for a long, slow drying phase.

03

DRY

Bowl blanks dry for up to one year.

Safely coated and packaged, each roughly shaped bowl, known as a blank, is set aside to dry completely, a process that can take up to a year. Because we work with fresh wood, each piece contains a high level of moisture that must be slowly drawn out to maintain stability and prevent cracks.

04

FINAL SHAPING

The piece takes its true form.

After drying, each bowl blank has shifted subtly—warping as the moisture leaves the wood. We return it to the lathe for careful refinement, shaping it to its final profile and precise thickness.

05

FINISHING

Sanded smooth, sealed by hand.

With the final form complete, each bowl is carefully sanded until the surface is silky to the touch. We remove the tenon, then finish the piece with a food-safe blend of beeswax and mineral oil to enhance the grain and protect the wood.
