This young family moved into a new townhome, and wanted a minimalistic storage solution for the empty niches that existed at either side of their living room fireplace. We created a combination of closed storage and floating shelves out of oak to lend some warmth to the space. Featuring slab front doors that highlight the continuous wood grain, we wanted to keep the form as free of ornamentation as possible. With a recessed toe kick, the cabinets have the appearance of almost floating above the floor.
